Wreaths. The history behind wreaths dates back thousands of years and much of the symbolism lies with Greek mythology, Roman tradition with the present day usage being focused on Advent and for festive décor. In translation, an antique copper wreath-like piece adorned with a mix of fresh water pearls and swarovski's, creating a very rustic, antique look.

Hydrangeas. Produced from early spring to late autumn, are one of my favourite flowers. Here's a translation of its gorgeous-ness. Did you know? - In Japan, ama-cha, meaning sweet tea, is a herbal tea made from Hydrangea serrata. Its leaves contain a substance that develops a sweet taste (phyllodulcin) - A unique flower found mostly in southern & eastern Asia (namely China, Japan, Korea, the Himalayas and Indonesia) & North and South America.

Sleepless in Seattle. Was putting this together one day while watching the movie and the triangle shape was taken from the significance of the empire state rooftop. And the black lil' beads at the bottom were the sparkles from the heart shape that was projected from the building while Meg Ryan overlooked from the building she was in. What can I do, I'm a sucker for romance!

Babies. A pure light of new life. =) Just got news of a family member adding a new addition to the family and it is just joyous! Aren't babies just precious? Brings joy to many lives. An inspiration of the pure and innocence of the unborn and the newborn's, I used this clear crystal in a 14k gold filled hoop. Simple, angelic yet captivating. Just lovely!

Just last week, I met up with an old friend. With her busy schedule, it is a rare occassion we meet and everytime we do, we share so much. We talk, talk and talk. It was a great evening together, possibly ate too much too...Here's a piece I made out of that lil' get-together. It tells a story about her life at the moment, using the mix of colours. It's that time of the year where my friend's are joining the marriage club, one-by-one. With much joy & excitement in the wedding preps, I was in the mood for LOVE. This piece is inspired by my friend Mary. She will be getting married end of this year and having given the honour to be in her wedding party & being part of the wedding process has been great! Reminds me very much of the times I went through preparing my own Big Day!......Here's a bubbly (circular hoop) rosey (mix of several quartz) coloured piece symbolising her character aka Ms. Reese Witherspoon. If you meet her, you'll know what I mean. =)

One night I was home bored, switching channels on the tv, I decided to watch this romantic movie, 'Bed of Roses' and right after I got to making this piece. A dainty piece with a touch of roses and sweet baby pink-lilac swarovski's. The closest colour I got to the roses featured in the movie. Yes, I'm a sucker for romance. =P
